Out-of-network

I am currently out-of-network with all insurance companies.  However, after paying our negotiated rate at the time of your session, I will happily provide you with a receipt/superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. If you  meet criteria for a DSM diagnosis that your insurance covers, they will then directly refund you whatever percentage of my fee they consider "allowable".

You can call the number on the back of your insurance card

and ask "what is my out-of-network coverage for an out-

patient mental health visit". Also ask "is there a separate

out-of-network deductible that has to be met before benefits

kick in." If you commonly meet your out-of-pocket maximum , it would also be good to know "do out-of-network costs count towards my out-of-pocket max?"

No Surprises Act:

This Act requires that if you do not have health insurance, receive out of network services, or choose not to use health insurance, you have federally protected rights to receive notification regarding a good faith estimate.
